SILICONE COATED FIBREGLASS

J-Flex have introduced to its stock product range Silicone Coated Fibreglass materials. These superb products well meet
customer expectations, being high grade and having great insulating properties plus non-combustible flame retardant attributes.

The flagship grade is Style 3101-2-SS, which is a 0.356mm overall thick – double faced grey Silicone (coated both sides) on
a satin weave fiberglass fabric; and was originally designed to meet the rigid requirements for use in nuclear reactors.

Being Silicone / Glass gives a wide temperature range of -55ºC to +260ºC; but  as the special Silicone compound provides
greater life and improved resistance to abrasion, flexing, tearing and puncture.

Specifically aimed at insulative markets, J-Flex Coated Fabrics are designed as value for money, light duty products suitable
for fabrication into removable pads; flange and valve covers.

What really impresses is its Flame Retardancy – J-Flex Style 3101-2-SS is certified and approved to leading European and
American standards – DIN/ BSI/ ISO/ ASTM/ U.S.Fed.

Available in standard 50 metre long rolls  x 1524mm wide.

It’s Proper Champion

in the Premier League (of Seals & Gaskets)

There’s a sure-fire recipe for conference success: a magical venue, a packed agenda,
superb facilities, a plethora of keynote speakers and international cooperation.

The bi-annual autumn forum of EUSGA (European Seals & Gaskets Association) was
hosted by John Kirk, Managing Director of J-Flex Rubber Products who inspirationally
booked The Theatre of Dreams - the legendary home of Manchester United Football Club.

Though the likes of Rooney and Ronaldo were nowhere to be seen, another winning team
of international players were out in force. Thirty-six delegates from sixteen leading
companies in twelve countries gathered to discuss new products, new markets, new
technologies and to hear interesting and challenging keynote speeches from leading
professionals in their fields.

Of particular interest was the presence of Max Rowland, Sales Chief of Novus and
Chairman of the GCA (Gasket Cutters Association). Max was both passionate and
positive about the future for the industry and called for close links between the GCA
and EUSGA. ‘There is room for both competition and cooperation’ was his message;
one that was enthusiastically endorsed by the conference.

As a member of both GCA and EUSGA, John Kirk was delighted with the outcome.

“I’m grateful to Max for his upbeat message”,
he said, “and delighted that the delegates got so
much from the formal and informal networking.
As for the Theatre of Dreams – wow! I think we
all stood on the hallowed turf and imagined ourselves
playing at the highest level of football – that was
the dream. But the reality is not so different. Members
of GCA and EUSGA consistently perform in the premier
division of our industry; indeed, we met three of our
objectives at our conference: cross-fertilisation of ideas
shared amongst members, increasing the prestige of the
seals & gaskets industry and establishing a communications
network between members & manufacturers. To continue the
soccer analogy I think we scored 3 fantastic goals!”

VITON® SPONGE

J-Flex have many claims to fame where specialised products are concerned. First of all we have the largest stock of Silicone Sheeting available in Europe. We probably also have the largest stock of Genuine Viton® Sheet Products - including 'A', 'B', Nomex Reinforced Insertion & White FDA Compliant grades.

10 years ago we started to promote the sale of Closed Cell Viton® Sponge Sheets in Europe. Our early rewards were minimal - however we firmly believed in this product and that it had a good future so we doubled our sales efforts. Now we have a good selection of regular customers for this material and even manage to find ad-hoc customers in power generation; chemical; oil and other dirty processing industries.

J-Flex Viton® Sponge is a closed cell medium density formulation manufactured with a continuous skin on both sides. This material is resistant to aliphatic & aromatic hydrocarbons; oils; fuels; ozone; weathering; lubricants; animal & vegetable oils etc.

This material has a service temperature of -20°C to + 204°C.

Available from stock in 3.0mm & 6.0mm nominal thicknesses.

FABRIC FINISH SILICONE SPONGE NOW AVAILABLE EX-STOCK!!

Responding to customers needs we now have available from our huge Retford stock-holding, Red Medium Density Closed Cell Silicone Sponge Sheet / Rolls complete with textured fabric finish.

Some customers prefer this surface finish especially if some degree of release or venting is required during processing.

Available in 3mm and 6mm thicknesses – Rolls: 1000mm wide  x  10 metres long, this fine fabric finish material is a perfect compliment to the Standard Density White Silicone Sponge we have traditionally carried.  See Spec
