Sea, it works!

Corrosion. A powerful and constant enemy of pipework; and nowhere more potentially damaging than in a sea water environment. It’s a constant problem for Scottish Power / SMW at Daldowie Fuel Plant and their sub-contractors Process Pipework Ltd of Doncaster who have the task of ensuring that steel pipes carrying oil and related fluids including Chemicals are properly maintained to avoid dangerous spillages.

Recently Process Pipework ltd were approached by a Scottish Power Plc representative after a oil spillage into the Firth of Clyde was noticed coming from the jetty head protruding out of Inverkip Power Station, Immediate action was required in order to prevent further spillage!  Once in attendance Process Pipework assessed the damage and realised that the quickest and best way for the Environment would be to utilise the Pow-r-wrap. Even though the damaged section (which proved to be a 2” pipe drain from an Oil Slops Vessel) was under the most hostile of environments being just above the sea level, the Pow-r-wrap was able to contain and prevent any recurring spills.
