Fluor-A-Com is simply a product that easily combines economic pricing without loss of performance. Ideal for all harsh environments except the most extreme and exacting, Fluor-A-Com has been independently tested by leading test house RAPRA. Containing a 66% fluorine A-type fluoroelastomer, it’s suitable across many diverse commercial applications where robustness and safety are essential.

As you’d expect from J-Flex we can supply this sheet product in a variety of stock thicknesses and roll sizes. We can also supply to special orders up to 50mm thick and in a variety of colours.

Life Expectancy of Silicone Rubbers

Thermal Stability

General purpose silicone’s physical properties are not adversely affected by prolonged exposure to temperatures from -60°C to +200°C.

In addition, it can withstand intermittent exposure to even higher temperatures – see chart. Silicone far outdistances other elastomers in resistance to thermal degradation and outperforms other elastomers in general service life, compression set resistance, electrical strength and non-stick properties. Silicone also has good chemical and fluid resistance.

For every 10 degrees higher than the recommended working temperature your product works at you will reduce its life expectancy by 50%. For example a 200°C rated material has a life of 2 years, but it is seeing 210°C and another process at 230°C, the life at 210°C is now 1 year and at 230°C is now 3 months.

PVC Nitrile Sealing Section Designed, Manufactured and Delivered within ?? days

– Another J-Flex Success Story

PVC Nitrile Sealing Section Sample ready to go to the customer for approval Much as we like the festive season, we actually prefer the challenges that our customers sometimes throw at us: so, combine the two and the dedicated folk that are our staff, never fail to amaze… or deliver.

As Christmas approached we got a call from one our valued customers. Bit of a panic. Needed to develop, sample and produce a PVC Nitrile sealing section for oil storage equipment. Bit of a problem. They and their end user weren’t exactly sure what size or geometry profile they wanted. Could we design, produce and deliver a sample with the likelihood of needing to make design changes following trials? Could we? Course we could!

3000 metres of nitrile sealing section extruded to the agreed profile is boxed and ready to go to the customer By the time Christmas arrived we’d made the necessary design changes and set up production that would involve six tons of raw materials to provide 3,000 metres of extrusion. And all this between the time it took to say ‘Merry Christmas’ and ‘Happy New Year’. By January 5, and a whopping nine days ahead of schedule, we’d completed the order and sent 14 pallets off to a relieved and grateful customer.

We do prefer a normal, more regulated order to our working lives but it just goes to show that J-Flex can deliver to tight schedules when the extraordinary is required – as it often is. This example epitomises the ethos behind J-Flex. Extraordinary products, extraordinary experience, extraordinary efforts; and always, always, working to exceed our customers’ expectations.
